Okay now that we are at Day 3 I can explain why you have not seen very many paper crafts on my blog......you see my son graduated from High school this year and is heading to NYC for school in February 2011. I wanted him to go to school with a t-shirt quilt with all his plays etc. depicted. Well - I am not a sewer!!! I cant stitch a straight line, can't cut a straight line (when it comes to fabric) and have never sewn a quilt before. Thank goodness for my wonderful and super patient sister-in-law, Denise. She has guided me through the process. Well good news ---- today I completed the top of the quilt. Here is a picture of it so far..........
I am very proud of it so far!!!! This afternoon, Denise is going to show me how to put it on the backing and tie it together!! Thank God for Denise!!!
Here is the view out of our front window this morning........my husband plows out half of the front yard so that we don't get drifts over our driveway!! The frost on the tree's were beautiful!!!
Please don't hesitate to follow my blog - I promise there are more projects below!!!!
Wonderful!! Shawn you did a great job on that quilt!! Your son will love it!! What a sweet thoughtful thing to do for him!! I am not a sewer either so this gives me hope!TFS!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous quilt!! Is your son an actor or techie? I have a son graduating this year and we are still school searching. My son has been a techie for 4 years and I would LOVE to make a shirt quilt for him.
