This weekend we will be celebrating the marriage of my nephew Nathan to his lovely bride Jessica. I recently renewed my membership with the Cricut Circle and we had a choice of cartridges to choose from. I took the Circle exclusive cartridge - Something to Remember. I like it! It has a great font, wonderful label shapes and some very interesting items such as a toilet, arm in a sling ect. There are mixed reviews about this cartridge but I honestly think that the colors that Provocraft uses in the cartridge handbooks definitely do not do the cartridge justice.
The bride and groom and the "Just Married" label are from the Something to Remember cartridge.
The papers used were from the My Minds Eye Life Stories Collection.
I hope that you like the card - I would love to hear your comments!!
I have a passion for paper crafts. I love to make cards, scrapbook and etch - anything to do with my Cricut machine. Recently I have also started to sew. This blog is dedicated to sharing my time with you.

Card Exchange group and my Sympathy Card
I was invited to participate in a Card exchange group - there are 12 of us getting together tomorrow evening. We each will bring 12 of the same card to exchange. So when we leave we will have 12 different cards. This is the first time i am participating in the exchange. I have done online exchanges before but this time i will be meeting the ladies face to face - so i am nervous!
I chose to make a Sympathy card. No one likes to make them and to be honest when you do need one - you aren't in the right frame of mind to do it.
I did an easel card and used the cross and scripture from the New Testament cartridge. The papers i used were from Creative Memories. I love the 'shimmer' paper that they have.
I hope you like the card - and I hope they do too!!!

Craft Junkie Too Design Team Post
This time Tracy asked us to create something that represents "cold". I decided to blow the dust off of my Imagine and use it to create a simple card. This card is made using the Snow Angel cartridge. I also decided to use a product that I have had on my shelf for 3 years and have not used! So you see - this card represents two forms of cold - - the first being the temperature of the scene on the card and the second being using something that has grown "cold" due to lack of use.
This card is 6 x 4.75 - the ribbon around the base can hold a package of Apple Cider, Hot Chocolate or instant soup. Something to warm you up on the inside.
It seems odd to be thinking about cold temperatures. Here in Minnesota this winter season has been anything but 'cold'. This year we had a brown Christmas. As a matter of fact - as I am typing this we still do not have any snow on the ground. To be honest with you - I miss it!

Some layouts I made recently...........
The flag is attached to a journaling box. The colored Statue of Liberty is actually a photo that I took while on vacation. I just cut out around the edges.
A couple of cards!!!

Sympathy Card
I have such a hard time making Sympathy cards. I recently acquired the New Testament cartridge from Provocraft. This cartridge is full over wonderful biblical characters, crosses and other images as well as scripture. I made this card today - I think that sympathy cards should be pretty simple - after all it is the message that counts.
I absolutely love this cartridge and I thank Provocraft for designing this wonderful cartridge!!!!

Autumn Colors.......
This months assignment for the Craft Junkie Too Design Team was to make a project using Autumn colors. Autumn is my most favorite time of the year. I love the changing of the leaves, the smell of apple cider and pumpkin pie.
I made a simple A2 card. I wanted to experiment with the Creative Memories Border Maker system. I chose to use the Frame Chain punch. I really will enjoy using the Border Maker. There are four different punches available. I hope that there will be more in the future.
I always want to take an extra step and put a little something in the inside of the card. I dresses it up just a bit and truly is so simple to do!

Masculine Birthday Card
I made this card using the Nates ABC Cricut Cartridge. I embossed the alligator and the background using the Cuttlebug.
I find it hard to make a masculine card. Nate's ABC has a lot of features that can be used. I hope that you like this card! Please feel free to leave a comment and/or follow my blog!

This A2 card is made using Disney Hannah Montana cartridge as well as Everyday Pop-Up cartridge. The accent on the butterfly is done with the Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

Birthday Card using the Creative Memories Traveler Cartridge
I love making Easel cards - they are so much fun and also very easy. See below the picture for the cuts with scoring directions. The Traveler cartridge is so versatile - there are so many cuts available that can be used for multiple reasons - not just travelling!!
Cut recipe:
1. 4.25 x 11 piece scored at 5.5 and 8.5 (yellow)
2. 4.25 x 5.5 piece for the background (white)
3. Use Creative Memories Corner Rounder to round the top corners of the white piece
4. Ink edges of the white card stock
5. Cut wave @ 2 inches
6. Cut turtle at 4.25 inches
7. Small rhinestone gems for the eyes of the turtle
8. Tie a small bow in the yellow ribbon and adhere to the card - the bow is what keeps the easel standing.
I hope you like this Card!!!!

Cricut Circle Exclusive Cartridge - Sophie
I just received the fifth exclusive cartridge from the Provocraft Cricut Circle. This cartridge is so pretty. These are the first two cards that I made using this cartridge. Both cards were cut at 4 1/2 inches making them perfect for the A2 envelope. I plan on using this cartridge extensively.
I would love to hear your comments!!

My First Design Team Project!!!
I am so excited to be on the Craft Junkie Too Design team. Our first assignment was something for Teacher Appreciation week. It has been a while since I needed to do anything for a teacher so this was a lot of fun! My 19 year old son is in school in New York (I apologize if I say that a lot - - I am kinda (okay lots) proud of him!!).
I made a Gift Card holder card - this card fits in a Invitation size envelope.
I made a Gift Card holder card - this card fits in a Invitation size envelope.
I made the card using a piece of white cardstock that was 12 x 6. I scored it at 4.5, 6, and 7.5. I mountain folded the card to create the gift card holder on the inside. I used a 1 in circle punch in the center of the mountain fold and cut with scissors a slit 1.5 inches on either side of the punch. This created the area for the gift card to be inserted. I then used my ATG tape to go along the outside edges to seal the card.
Paper used in this project was from the DCWV Grade School package. The apple on the front is from the Create a Critter cartridge (one of my favorite cartridges) and the Thank you is from the Sentimentals cartridge.
I really hope that you like this card!!!! Now head on over to http://www.craftjunkietoo.com/ and check out what the rest of the designers made!!! They are an amazingly talented group!!!
Please let me know what you think!! I truly value your input. Also if you have any questions on how i made this please dont hesitate to ask!!! Happy Wednesday you all!!!!

Bridal Shower decorations
I apologize for the poor picture quality - I so wish that i had thought of laying the banner on the floor so that i could take a picture. The banner is about 10 feet long - composed of 16 individual triangles - four with flowers and the rest spelling out Lyndsae & Eric. This banner was a lot of fun to make - I hope the young lady i made it for likes it.
The card is made using the Imagine and the JT cartridge - love the palm tree!!! This is a tri-fold card that is on the Imagine More Cards cartridge that I changed the colors to the papers from the JT cartridge. I love how it turned out!!
I am looking forward to celebrating with Lyndsae and Erik as they start their new life together in June.
The colors of the wedding are teal with a touch of pink and lime green - i used those colors in this banner. The teal triangle was designed on the gypsy - and saved for future use!! I love how it turned out!!
This next project is a guest book/memory book made by covering a 5 x 7 notebook. I again incorporated the colors of the wedding.......
