My Pink Stamper Design Team submission

Robyn, also known as My Pink Stamper is accepting submissions for her 2011 design team.  The challenge was to create something using Robyn's favorite colors - pink, green and brown.  Today I wanted to work with my Imagine machine so I created this inspirational layout for my office.  Tis the new year and a new opportunity to make some goals - that is what this layout is........

New Year / New You

The entire project was done using the Imagine.

1.  The large scalloped background was one of the standard cut images with the Green floral image from the Best Friends' cartridge.  This was cut @ 10 inches.  I also inked the edges with chocolate brown.
2.  I cut Happy New Year from Celebrate with a Flourish @ 2 inches.  I used the wonderful RGB feature of the Imagine to make the colors:
          a.  Regular (brown layer) RGB code 96 56 19
          b. Shadow (dark brown) RGB code 17 27 22
          c. Layer's (pink) RGB code 203 43 119
I put the layers together using the Zig 2-way glue pen.  Carefully I trimmed away the word Happy leaving New Year only.
3.  I cut Happy New Year again - this time @ 3 inches.  Instead of using pink for the layers I used a green.  This RGB code was 164 207 104.  Put the layers together and then carefully trim away leaving on the word New.
4.  Cut "YOU" from the Opposites Attract cartridge @ 3 inches.  Regular RGB code: 164 207 104 and Shadow 96 56 19.  Cut "YOU" again @ 3.1 inches using RGB code: 17 27 22.  Put the layers together.
5.  Run all the words through the Cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder.
6. Cut 20 11 from the Designer Calendar cartridge.  This one was run through the Cuttlebug using the Spots-n-dots folder.
7.  From the Forever Young cartridge - cut the girl @ 4 inches.
8.  From white cardstock cut a 4 inch square and round the corners.  Wrap pink ribbon around the cardstock and adhere to the back using Robyn's cheater method (scotch tape).  Tie another peice of ribbon around this and trim the edges.
9.  Stamp on the corner - Celebrate Today from one of Robyn's My Pink Stamper sentiment stamps.  These stamps are great and are available online and at some local scrapbook stores.  Check out Robyns blog at http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ for more information.
10.  Apply some pink rhinestones to bling this up a bit.

I really enjoyed making this project and I have it posted in my scrapping area where I am sure to see it every day.

Thank you for viewing and I value your comments!!!
