Office wear

My next project was this jacket that I could wear to work.  I loved the colors and the heaviness of the woven material.  It is a simple pattern to make but the material is what makes it look so nice.  Lessons learned - woven fabric is a pain to cut and sew - NEVER pull the loose thread!  I really like this jacket and I have worn it several times.

I decided that I wanted to make a pair of fitted pants next.  I loved them - fit where they should - loose where they should be ect.  I again followed the pattern and soon realized that I needed to cut the pant length longer - of course I realized it too late.  I will only be able to wear these slacks with flats.  Oh well - I wear them a lot.  Next time........

You will never see photo's of me wearing my pants - I have a steadfast rule ----- photo's only of the waist up!  I am who I am - I am overweight.  Someday I hope to not be but that is a mute point - I am happy and the most important person in my life - loves me the way I am.
